We understand the comfort and stability that comes from a routine, so here’s what a typical day will look like – when we’re not heading out somewhere exciting!

Compassionate Care You Can Trust

A day with us

You’ll be able to wake and get up whenever you like. Your carer will bring you breakfast of your choice, whether that’s cereal or a full English. You can eat it in the dining room, one of the lounges, the conservatory or your own room – or why not outside if it’s warm enough?
While away the morning doing whatever you like – reading, gardening, chatting with fellow residents or receiving visitors. We’ll serve coffee between 10 and 10.30am, and you can enjoy this anywhere around the Lodge.
We serve a hearty home-cooked lunch from 12.30pm, and most residents eat in the dining room sitting in groups of their choice. Our staff will join you for lunch, so there should be some good conversation!

Afternoon tea is served… Afternoons bring a variety of activities including jigsaws, colouring, arts and crafts and of course tea and delicious homemade cakes. Lots of families visit us and share in this welcoming experience. This is a time for fun and a natter.

Supper is served around 5pm, there is a wide variety of choice at supper time and a cheeky glass of wine or a beer if you like.

After supper most people choose to relax and watch their favourite TV programme or finishing reading their daily newspaper. An evening milky drink is offered before you choose to retire at a time that suits you after a busy and fun filled day.
